General Electric 3-5220A portable radio-cassette recorder.


It is a neat little portable radio with cassette recorder, radio recording quality is pretty good, and sounds fine with an external mic, but the built in mic brings in lots of motor noise and DC bias S, as this IS DC bias.

That also reminds me of a microcassette recorder I had when I was 12 I can't remember what brand it was but it had horrendous motor noise, I still have the tapes recordrd by it.

I just wish they weren't always DC BIAS!! GE uses DC bias way too much, some of their machines are AC bias, mainly stereo boomboxes. And they record very good!

107.7 is "Alice 107.7", although I'm not a fan of pop music. I found this at an estate sale when on my way home from school.

Not bad for DC bias, I had a Panasonic boom box that recorded absolutely terrible with huge hiss and DC bias.
