Nick's P.O.V

We have been home from tour for about two weeks now and things couldn't be better. Abby and I are as close as ever and Ashley and Demi are back in L.A. (A/N: They still live in New Jersey). Everything was just perfect.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Kevin on the phone. I decided since I had nothing else to do I would stay and listen.
"Uh-huh...Okay...Yeah...Thanks, bye." Once he hung up the phone he looked at me.
"That was the producer of 'JONAS'" He told me.
"Oh. What did he say?"
"Filming begins in a month."
"Awesome!" I got excited. "What?" I asked him once I realized he wasn't sharing the excitement.
"Nick, filming will take up to six months. And that's just for the first season."
"Okay..." I wasn't following this.
"It will be physically impossible for us to be here and to film a show in L.A for six months. We're going to needto move." My insides shattered at those words. No, no, no, no. This could not be happening. We have been holding off from moving to L.A for about a year now just because New Jersey is our home. But now it was something much bigger than that. Abby meant the world to me. I couldn't just leave. Not after all we've been through already. "Nick? Did you hear me?" Kevin snapped his finger in my face to get me back to reality.
"Have you talked to mom and dad?" I asked him.
"Not yet. But there is no way out of this. We signed a contract. We have to do the show."
"Well can't we just fly down therewhen were needed?" I was beginning to panic.
"Six months, dude. That's a half a year. And I'm sure we're going to film a whole new season shortly after." I started doing the math in my head. Two seasons will take approximately six months each. One year. Not good. I thought of a new option.
"Well, mom and dad wouldn't mind if Abby moved with us, right?"
"Come on, Nick. Lets be real here, shall we? We have careers. Abby has to finish school. She's a human being. Not a portable DVD player."
"She was home-schooled on tour with us, so why can't she just do that again?"
"That was for a month anda half! We can't just move her with us! She has a family! She has school! She has a life, other than you, here!"
"Hello!" My mom called as I heard her walk through the front door. I ran up to her.
"Mom! We're not moving!" She looked at Kevin who was trailing behind me.
"The producers called. Filming begins in a month." He informed her. My mom sighed, then looked at me.
"Honey. We knew this would happen eventually. We will find a home in Los Angelus that will be just as good."
"Its not that." Kevin said to her, talking for me. She looked at Kevin, than back at me.
"Then what is it?" I looked down and blushed. "Oh honey..." She started hugging me. "You can call her everyday and do those web chat things that I always see you guys doing." She stroked my hair, trying to comfort me. Talk about embarrassing.
"I know, mom. But it wouldn't be the same." She backed away and I looked at her."Can't she just move with us?" I asked, hopeful.
"That's not an option, sweetie. She needs to be with her own family." I looked at Kevin, then to my mom, then back at Kevin again.
"I'm not moving." I said and headed to the stairs for my room. I slammed my door shut just to get the point across that I was upset. But I think they already knew that.

Two minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"I don't want to talk about it, Kevin." I could tell it was Kevin by the way he knocked. My moms would be more gentle and my dads would be louder. And Joe, well Joe doesn't have a knock since hefinds it okay to just barge in. The door opened and Kevin entered, uninvited.
"We have to talk about it. Nick, there's no other option. We have to move. You signed that contract too."
"I know, but that was when...things were different." I signed that thing when Abby and I were still at the 'Just Friends' stage. I knew if we had to move that I would miss her, but now it was just to a whole new level.
"Yes, I know. But a lot have things have changed since then. But we still signed it. It was a promise to them that we would do it." I looked at Kevin.
"I promise you Kevin, contract or no contract, I'm not moving." I could tell I was making him mad.
"God, Nick! It won't be the end of the world! What are you so worried about!?"
"I'm worried that if I told her we're moving, she'd break up with me, okay?!"
"You know her better than that. She knows this is our job. She will completely understand."
"No. Things are perfect the way they are. If we move to L.A, I will never get to see her. I'm not going." Kevin sighed and left me alone.

**Sorry for the month change. I had some chapters about the end of the tour but they were just completely irrelevant with the story. So I took them out.
