80% percent of the world only likes naruto because theyre either 12 or only watche becuase theyre Narutards.i saw episodes of naruto and got upset how the creators had to make atleast one emo kid that bitches about how his family died in the whole series,and get some fat lesbian chick to voice the english dubb of the main charactor.way to go cartoon network way to go.the only thing good about anime was in the
90's i.e Fushigi yugi, sailor moon, DBZ, Escaflowne etc. etc. etc.

I gave Naruto 25 volumes of manga before I decided I didn't like it. Since they interupted the only story line I liked (the tourniment). And I only liked one character (Shikimaru).

Well, Its NOT the best anime ever. Naruto Is NOT the best. Its NOT the worst either.

People don't even bother with unpopular ones, that are way better than, Bleach, and Naruto.
Like, Shugo Chara, Love Love, Elfen lied...

Hell yeah, Higurashi is superior, yet I still love the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, yet... when I found Higurashi... It all came clear to me that Higurashi was more interesting and better played out! But for some reason I like mixing them during roleplays. It makes me laugh seeing the Naruto characters get beaten up by some-what-normal humans who are psychotic. :] Heehee. Especially the akatsuki, and how they'd never stand a chance against Shion, let alone Hanyuu. (YES, I SAID HANYUU! lol.)

very good rant. I made a similar note in my overrated bullshit rant. It seems with a lot of people that hype or popularity=quality and that is no way true. The only way to judge something fair is to sit and watch in enjoyment first, not in judgement or expectation. 5/5

I agree that it's wrong to hate a series just because it is popular. However, I do make judgments on the first 5 or so episodes. To me, a show has to grab me from the beginning, especially with the popular ones that stretch for more than 50 episodes. This was the case with Bleach. I watched the first 5 episodes and I wasn't into it. I knew it was one of those "epic" series that goes on forever and I wasn't prepared to wait until it finally got good.

Well I can honestly say this... I do agree with what you said. As far as Naruto and Eva are concerned, I gave them both a chance. With Naruto, I watched up to the fillers and thought it was ok, not great. I mean ninjas with hulk physics was just "???", It made it feel more like an anime with recycled ideas rather than an anime with reinvented ones. Eva.... oh boy, by episode 10 I felt like was was forcing myself to watch it rather than enjoy it.

But I do not prefer most anime that are popular because they tend to have alot flaws within them and those would include...
Shonen (Excluding FotNS, RK, YYH,&DB)
Shojo
Harem
Magical Girl&Some Mecha (Including a few Gundams&Code Geass imo)

Seinen are better about limiting their flaws, but sadly range from being fairly well known to underrated

Well, I watched about 130 episodes of naruto, and I ended up hating it.The reason is because the art is really weak, the jokes are just not funny and there is nothing that keeps the story interesting...Take Code Geass for example, this show is something really worth watching. Because the art is fantastic and the story is awesome, it makes us want to watch more and more, cuz it's SO well-made.

This whole "good reviews=good shows" destroyed Full Metal Alchemist for me, at least for the time being. I expected it to be the 10/10 that almost everyone seems to give it. Naturally, I was disappointed. I'll give it another try later, just not until I can leave the hype behind.
