You either believe in God and that we have a purpose on this earth and that we can have life beyond the grave and greater things to come or you can believe that you life means nothing and when you die its all over so you tell me who has it better. I choose purpose and a higher power and a chance to see my loved ones that have moved on. Lets say I am wrong I will never know and have lived my life with purpose. Your right I think we are done. Sounds like you should go live your meaningless life.

What happened in the old testament has no bearing on our life today also because Christ died for our sins all of the weird things that happened in the old testament don't happen today. That is why we dont have to stone sinners, sacrifice animals, have laws written on stone, see buring bushes that dont burn away, have animals that speak to you, i could go on and on.

Well Christ sacrificing his life for ours is a little different. Christ is and was deity so there is absolutely no parallel between what he did then and what we do now. Also that was the a time when God allowed the devil to actually take form and walk on the earth so your right there are no talking snakes and unless God changes the game which he has said he wont we wont see any talking snakes again.

...The idea of killing someone innocent to wash the sins of those whom are not, is the basis of the Christian concept of being saved.Christians believe that the many, are washed clean of their own guilt and immorality, by the sacrifice of the innocent one.If your position is that human-kind all started in a garden with Adam and Eve and a talking snake, then your judgment, reasoning and perception of reality is in question..... There are no talking snakes.

I think abortion is a horrible and sinful act in every circumstance. Even in cases of incest and rape. Those acts are horrible but why should an innocent baby's life be ended because someone did something evil. Basically the baby is paying the price for the act of the rapist. And in the case of a baby like Palin's new baby who is down syndrome there is nothing in the bible that would lead you to believe that we have the right end that life because it is not an ideal situation.

NO unless you have a weird reason for believing in the sanctity of life most have gotten that view from biblical principles. If that is the case then when you read the bible you see that animals were put on this earth for humans. Beast of burder for work like horses and mules and oxen, animals for consumption cows, sheep, fish, fowl companion animals like cats and dogs. Using animals for things like testing basically abusing them is not an appropriate act.

Perhaps a solution can be found by helping the farmer, meeting some of his or her needs, insuring that, when the rain refuses to trickle-down, the community will be their to assist him or her, if they are truly interested in the crop....and not in changing the farmers morality or personal beliefs.

If a farmer wants to plow-under his own crop, even though thousands of people may starve to death as a result... I believe he is morally wrong, but has that right.I also think that by restricting him from planting and plowing-under next year's crop, doesn't solve the communal problem of starvation and death.

My position on sex however, is that sex is great, I liiiiiiiike sex, got no problem with other peoples consensual sexual proclivities, and hope they are pursuing sexual happiness anyway they like.Sex is not the enemy, the enemy is unwanted pregnancies and being ignorant of how to prevent them.

I am assuming you're talking about abortion.

I do NOT believe that abortion is birth control and is something EVERYONE thinks is abhorrent. I think everyone should join together, and by any means necessary, make unwanted pregnancy a thing of the past.

And I am not referring to the people that have one or 2 differences but the people that are on the opposite side of every single issue. And not only that but then you add onto what I just mentioned the fact that many of those people want to bring back the fairness doctrine which all involved parties know will be the end to talk radio. And although talk radio is massively weighted towards conservative talk it would also end the liberal talk also.

Its hard to feel a kinship and a brotherhood to someone who believes so differently than myself on issues like the sanctity of life, national security, border security, fiscal policy, the sanctity of marriage and the list goes on and on. .

If the term that Rush owns his ditto heads it is because he speaks what we say and feel and are therefore linked to him because he is a persuasive and eloquent voice for us. I don't believe he is a divider I think that was done a long time ago and continues today by many many individuals who profit from dividing us. Does he do something to unite us........maybe not but I truly believe we would be equally divided even if Rush were not around.
