Super Cub Super STOL Short Field Landing


Nice clip of a Super Cub landing on a patch of ground about the size of a ping-pong table. Of course the headwind and up-slope helped. Beautiful shot of the full use of the controls though. Lots of rudder inputs and he retracts the flaps (which include drooping-ailerons or flaperons if you will) just after he comes to a stop to kill the lift. Then during takeoff when the airspeed is right the flaps are extended to "elevate" him off the ground. Looks like a lot-o-fun!! Nice machine with an extended range belly fuel tank and Monster Truck tires..........

Looks like an Aviat Husky to me, not a Super Cub. I'll admit that there's more than a passing resemblance, but look at the wing tips.
