Like I predicted, it was a very weak week for comics. Fast Five picks include The Invincible Iron Man #5 (Marvel), Secret Six #1 (DC), Spider-Man Loves Mary-Jane #2 (Marvel), Green Lantern #34 (DC), and Ms. Marvel Annual #1 (Marvel).Next week looks like a nice, meaty week, so fingers crossed for a pick of the week!

I recommend all of them in that order. However, if you want to save a little money, be sure to check-out Wikipedia so you won't be confused. I myself own all the mentioned story lines above, but I'm just a big fan of Simone and those characters.

I have not. I just like Gail Simone and figured I'd go in based on that. Any particular suggestions for catching up or is it a pretty sprawling story. I only read a few DC titles, completely avoiding the crossover stuff.

Update: I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered from my shop issues 70-75 of Fables (I'm up to date on the trades).

When issue 76 comes out, I'll now be able to review Fables monthly.

Like many people I know, I'm getting Fables in trades. I'm lame like that :/

The Boys #22 was fun, and I'm happy that we know a little bit more of the history in that universe. Plus a John Cassaday cover next month! How cool is that?

Also, if you haven't read any Villains United or Secret Six stuff before, I recommend catching-up on those before reading this first issue. Otherwise, you might be a tad bit confused.

I liked Winnick more on Outsiders. I dunno; this book seems out of place and out of continuity for me. DC Universe already has 20+ teams, and to add a team of all the original titans, many of which are already on different teams? Meh.

And what is it with Nightwing and Starfire hooking-up again after all these years?

I haven't been reading Simon Dark, and I don't have an excuse for why I'm not reading it, because I haven't heard one bad review about it.

I need to catch-up on it. I tend to like Niles' work, so away I go!

I was hoping you'd review Secret 6. I was thinking about it, but wanted to hear a few opinions first. Think I'll check it out. I just got the first Simon Dark trade as a gift (from my girlfriend, really) and just tore through it. Have you been reading this? Whoa.

It really was a slow week, but did you check out titans #4? I don't know about you, but this comic just keeps climbing the awsome ladder in my opinion, but hey, I have weird taste.
