DIANE CAMERON IN THE TREE OF NO RETURN


When I first went to Benin, West Africa in 2004...I was humbled and brought to my knees as I witnessed the "Door of No Return" - its a place in Ouidah, Benin where the captured Africans had to symbolically walk around 3 times in an act of forgetting their homeland, their families and themselves. I pray for the souls of those who never returned. I pray for those of us who return to the MOTHERLAND come back prepared to embrace our waiting family.
