How can't you agree when you havn't played the first 2 parts? That my friend is called ignorance. Let me guess, you love the game because: You think the killing is awesome, you like the fact that your stronger than anyone and the graphics are totally badass. All those are "Mainstream-appealing-factors" i.e. stuff that is only good because it's new. I don't think that any fallout fan will continue playing fallout after finishing it 3-4 times...

Fallout 1 and 2 were spectacular, although F2 was released to PC with enough bugs that somebody should have gone to prison; until its first massive pack it was essentially unplayable. That said, F3 is fantastic and despite being first person (I do like 3rd) it faithfully follows Fallout in all other ways; style, storyline/feel are all dead ringers for Fallout. No Fallout fan could be disappointed (unless they truly abhor first person view).

couldn't agree more, fuckin' die hard fans had a fit...i was dubious about getting it ( and i hadn't played the previous ones) and it's the best game i've ever played, im discovering new stuff on my third playthrough...can't wait for the g.e.c.k editor for pc

How am I attacking your views? I'm just pointing out that it's foolish to state your own opinion as fact when really, it's just that--your own opinion--and nothing more.

You say Bethesda produced an extremely boring game and that they basically messed up the entire game, but again, you assert this like it's fact.

im so glad bethesda got a hold of fallout 3. far superior to what black isle ever could have imagined doing with the game. theirs would have been fuckin lame. bethesda did an amazing job from the story to the graphics and every facet of the game.

Afraid I have ot agree with Gonzo, Black isle would've made a much better fallout. Graphics aside, fallout 3 really didn't do the entire character development system justice, same goes for most other aspects of the game.
