Could it be any harder Chapter 29

Annisa's POVMy phone buzzed once again, the caller ID said Joe, and I declined the call, once again. It's just that, my family is finally starting to get on the right track. And I mean, I know that they treated him bad, but I've never had a normal family, and this may be that chance. It's been three days, I think since the horrible dinner. And I've been avoiding him, which is kinda hard at school. But I've actually managed it. My phone beeped, letting me know that I've got a new voicemail. Without thinking, I press the button to listen to it."Anna, why aren't you answering my calls? We need to talk" it was silent for a minute, and I could here him sigh "Call me, I love you" I sighed as I hung up and put my phone on my nightstand.I had about none emotions in my body. It was just empty. I looked at the clock and saw that it was time for bed. So I changed into my pajamas and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. As I was putting night cream on my face I noticed my collarbones werelike really out there. I touched them and my eyes became wide as I felt how much they stood out. I took a step back so that I could see my whole body. I'd become skinny, like almost frightening. But I just pushed it to the back of my head and went to bed. Drifting off to the sounds of Joe's voicemail.

Next Day at School

Kevin's POV
"Amanda!" I ran up to her side and walked by her.
"What's up?" she asked as she slowed her tempo.
After she fell asleep in my bed some days ago, she had been much friendlier. We were slowly becoming friends.
"Nothing.. Just remembered that we have to take pictures for our interviews today, wanna do it in our free period?"
"Sure" she said, giving me a small smile. And I felt a happy feeling in my stomach. "You working tonight?" she asked me as we reached our classroom and entered.
"No. I've gotta do bandstuff, so I got the day off" I said and looked at her as she sat down at her desk. I could swear I saw her face drop a little as she heard my answer.
"Oh. And that probably means I have to work with Kaitlyn again" she said, sighing.
"Probably.. But look at the bright side" I said, smiling a little.
"What bright side?" she asked me.
"She'll probablylet you get a heck of a long break. She doesn't have the guts to say no" I smiled.
"Yeah. Thanks for the tip"
"No prob" I was still smiling as the teacher entered the room and told us to sit down, and open our books.
