High Speed Train
California has a proposed high speed train that would connect the Northern and Southern parts of the state with a train that travels 200 miles per hour.I think that this is a good idea, but of course, anyone who knows me, know that I love trains! Besides creating 150,000 jobs for construction and 450,000 jobs for the operation of the train... it would also reduce flights between the two parts of the state. Reducing the large number of flights means less jet fuel, less jet fuel means less carbon dioxide, less impact on the environment and so forth.
Anyway, 2.5 hours from San Francisco or Sacramento to Los Angeles or Anaheim... Yes.
How? If you live in California, vote yes on Proposition 1a. It's that simple!
This is a specific example ofwhat I was talking about in the video:

Vote YES!!! The US needs to get with the program. The US will get left behind if we don't start modernizing our infrastructure. Planes and cars = pollution. Train=Eco friendly. VOTE YES!

There's also a hypothetical (not even prototyped AFAIK) idea that could go 1500mph. New York to California in two hours?!?

We need high speed rail all over the country. Imagine getting from New York to California in about 12 hours with lots more space to move around and be comfortable with no worries about crashing into the ground or exploding. The US needs to get into the 20th Century and build some high speed rail. I hope you guys pass it.

Sounds good. I just got back from Japan and I'm impressed with their bullet train.

I think that is fantastic.
I would vote if I lived in California.

You make a good argument for it.
Ironically, it's taken me almost two hours to get myself out of bed and into the shower... and I'm still not there yet.
