As crude as it may sound, it is a relief to hear from someone else that they get this. I find that regularly just as i have fallen asleep wake up suddenly, short of breath and heart racing. I rarely get palpitations as you state but nonetheless it is highly disturbing. I have also received the diagnosis of anxiety/panic attacks, but my doctor has decided blood testing is the way forward to see if there is a physical reason for this - probably because there arent indications my heart is to blame

wait... when you said baystate... then you said... HOLYOKE!? DUDE! YOU'RE IN MASSACHUSETTS!?! Oh man! holy shit! I can't believe it! that's awesome! I'm from Massachusetts! I don't live there anymore, I moved to virginia three years ago to escape the population problem and bone-dry job market, but holy cow that's cool. Tell me, you've been to Northampton, right? I just need to reminisce... I have actually, finally begun to miss my hometown, Chicopee... Figures I only now find cool people from MA

panic attack fella, no big deal. But i wouldn't be so tightly wound all your life or you'll likely get that feared heart attack earlier than expected

While I agree that this video seemed more put together out of boredom that anything else, I sympathise with your situation.

I had a similar set of symptoms related to PTSD after my motorcycle accident.

It's likely that this will pass in time, but if you struggle for a physical cause you could always try CBT, sites such as moodgym maybe.

Fair thee well :)

How dare them, being members of the medical profession, to inquire of your personal lifestyle in order to discern which remedy to apply to your malady.

Were it I, I certainly would have called a private medical institution rather than provide private information to a public facility. But, alas indeed, it is only by the act of sheer luck that you did not expire. Not having Saerain in this world would be disastrous.

I hope everything will be fine. Take care

Some people dismiss the suggestion of hyperventilation because they assume it must consist of rapid gasping for breath like on tv. However that's just one form, it can feel like ordinary breathing, sometimes manifesting as a slight buzzing. It's really about how you're well taking the oxygen in, sometimes it lowers your CO2 levels, which explains your other symptoms. You should always take what you are prescribed, even if you think you know better, listening to the doctor is usually for the best

So am I. I feel fine, and initial analysis of the recording looks good, but they want to continue analysing it, and didn't give me an estimate on how long it may take.

I suppose I could have, but it was irritating enough to sleep with it on. On the other hand, I tried to go for a brief run and quickly felt nauseated, so perhaps sex wouldn't have been wise.
