Sure. NYPD ESU officers serve HIGH-RISK warrants sometimes several times a day, for their entire careers. How long do most soldiers stay in Iraq? 2-4 years? An NYPD officer spends his entire career (20+ years)protecting&serving, everyday.

I think the NYPD ESU and the DEA are great. But remember an pvt in a Infantry unit in Baghdad will do more raids and swarch,CQB tactics.Than any lawenforcment in the US.Because as a Sgt thats what I did in Baghdad 336 day. 1/69 Infantry Scout platoon.(the figthing 69th)

The NYPD ESU is a very elite tactical unit, easily on par with some of the best in the world, but the LAPD and LASD do have better tactical units. LAPD SWAT was the original and learnen their tactics directly from the world's best (22nd SAS, GSG-9, and GIGN), and it was the LAPD and LASD that the Department of Defense went to for training U.S. Special Operations in CQB tactics.LAPD SWAT has proven itself against the Symbionese Liberation Army and Black Panthers.

Dude you are stupid these guys do twice as much as does guys and half of those people you named dont even get called out as much in NY something always goes down and everyone recognizes a NYPD officer no matter where u go so STFU!

I am not going to argue with you, But I have personally seen ESU (and have been involved) in watching them train the DEA agents up at out tactical village Located the bronx. And I have personally trained DEA in our HIDTA classes as well.We train in search warrant entries,Narcotic raids, car stops and tactical shooting. Trust me NYPD DOES TRAIN THE DEA !!
Just ask any agent.....

Ok im not gonna go back and forth, My personal friend is a SAC in China right now. He is 1 of the 12 Arabic speaking Agents in the DEA. He rose to the postion because he not only speaks Arabic but 5 other languages as well&looks like a caucasian. The DEA is the ONLY agency that STILL trains in the FBI facilities in Quantico. Right now he has a (718) number that rings in China. You are Mis-informed. The NYPD may give assistance-but NEVER trains DEA Agents on ANYTHING.

to all criminals out there just to tell you u will be caught no matter wat u do the NYPD is on u like this video here taken as a hostage for money think u can get away with it? i dont think so NYPD is way SMARTER than u think. and like catching ppl that sells fake handbag they get caught nypd NOT STUPID. GO NYPD FTW.

NYPD ESU trains the DEA in search warrant entries. Ask any agent and they would rather have an NYPD ESU officer on the shield and Tac formation. I have seen Federal agents in warrant executions. It was real scary how they opearte.

The name C.L.E.T. is the reason that you only know the NYPD ESU unit as the best. They operate beneath the public scope&DONT WANT ANY accolades in relation to the work they perform. Some of the "jobs" they have done in the 60's are still classified ABOVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE. Im not saying that the ESU trucks are inept, they are in the SAFEST big city in the world despite 9/11. The DEA serves drug warrants in places like COLOMBIA, a place where a "necktie" isnt somethin youd wanna try on...
STREETL1FE167 (July 30, 2008 at 11:42 am)
I hate to go against the grain but ANYONE inSpecial Operations Divisions like ESU, would agree with me. If ANYONE was to ask me which agency's "Raid-Unit" worldwide I would use if I had to, I would say without hesitation, The DEA's C.L.E.T. Teams because I KNOW I'd make it HOME that night. The NYPD works in just the 5 boros of NYC, The DEA operates WORLDWIDE! Drug&Terror raids are the HIGHEST RISKS to an agent's life. The NYPD SOMETIMES does drug raids, The DEA ALWAYS&ONLY DOES drug raids!

Hi all !!!!!I am French and since my childhood I want to be a NYPD officer. I will do everything for that. NYPD = SUPERHEROSNew-York's Finest
NYPD115 (July 4, 2008 at 2:53 pm)
Yeah it is bro, I don' think that you or anyone that you know well has ever worked with any of those agencies. NYPD ESU is one of if not the most elite tactical squad in the world, end of story.
genzcop (July 4, 2008 at 3:16 am)
"NYPD's ESU is the most elite tactical squad in the world" are you stupid? well you have to be in order to have the nerve to say it's the most elite tactical squad in the world, comparing to LAPD SWAT, SAS, Hong Kong SDU, and others. IDIOT
NYPD115 (June 11, 2008 at 11:44 pm)
Great video, i wanted my dad to go on esu but he's to old now and is a detective in the bronx robbery squad. He does on occasion get to work with them though. NYPD's ESU is the most elite tactical squad in the world. please keep making more nypd videos because everyone you make is fantastic. I maybe want to be on an ESU Squad someday, maybe Nassau P.D. or NYPD.
