THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!!!!!Samantha closed the door behind them and they stood out in the hall."Yes, doctor?" she asked."This is the updated condition on Nicholas Jonas." she handed her a manila folder with his name printed on it."Oh, ok." Samantha sighed. "I thought it was going to be something bad about Joe." They smiled at each other for a brief second before Sam said thanks and they went their ways. She opened the door and sat back down on the bed by Joe."This is the 'updated condition of Nicholas Jonas.'""Oh, open it up.”
Samantha opened it up and read it aloud.
"Nicholas Jonas-diabetes. Malfunctioning blood glucose meter.
Nicholas Jonas's blood glucose meter reported normal blood glucose amount earlier this evening. He was placed into ICU twenty minutes ago. He is in severe but not critical condition. His bloodglucose amount was not normal, it was very low. He regained consciousness ten minutes ago.

Samantha placed the paper back in the folder and then placed it on the bedside table and turned to look at Joe.
"What exactly does that mean?" he asked.
"Well, it means that thelittle finger pricky blood tester thingy wasn't workin right and it said he was normal, when he wasn't. Then he like didn't do anything to fix it cus he didn't think he had to. Then he fainted and stuff and now he's here." She replied.
"Whoa. Really? How do you know this...?"
"Well Melody, my best friend, is a diabetic and the same thing happened to her in 8th grade and she was in ICU and everything, and she's fine."
"Oh, wow. So do you think he'll be ok?"
"Of course I do."
The doctor walked back in.
"Any questions about your brother's condition, Samantha?"
"Oh he's not my brother, he's his."she pointed to Joe.
Joe smiled and did the little wave thing.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Any questions, Joe?"
"Uh, no, but when can I see him?"
"When the rest of the family can, when he is in a more stable condition. We will keep you updated on his condition." she walked out.
"He'll be fine." Sam said.
"I can't believe you stayed during all this, I mean me and staying overnight and now with Nick, and everything.
"Are you kidding me, Joe?! I wouldn't leave if the doctors told me I had to."
"You're like the best girlfriend. For the whole two days you have been mine."
They laughed.
"You're a really great boyfriend, and I'm not leaving this hospital until you do."
Joe kissed her. (Author’s Note --- this is like their first like makeout kiss. lol ;)
The doctor walked in.
"Oh, um, I'm sorry to interrupt, but Mr. Jonas, someone is here to see you. Would you like me to send them in?"
Joe thought to himself: "Who is it? My family is all here."
"Uh, sure." he replied and then looked at Sam with a look of slight confusion
