"Dad, can't you give us a break? She doesn't even know if she's pregnant yet" "50 50 chance. But i will not accept. You might be getting married, but Kev, i know you better." "Yeah, dad. I know you do. And i wouldn't expect you to give me a hard time about this. I can easily tell you that i don't regret what happened." "Same here, Mr. Jonas. It happened, and if we don't regret it, then why is it such a big deal?" "I don't know, kids, i really don't know. But maybe because you are only kids, you're not ready to have a baby." That was it, i grabbed Jessica's hand and led her back to my room. I let her cry, because she was already tearing downstairs when my dad said that last sentance. "Jess, it's okay. Everything will work out okay." "I wish i could leave myself to think that, Kevy!" she was bawling. I was already angry at my dad, but i would never hate him. My mom came into my room just as Jessica was slipping her pants off and got under my covers. "Hi Mom" "Kevin, is everything okay?" "No, and i'm really mad at dad right now. I assume you also know, since you looked through my drawers, and we don't regret what we did. Can't he give us a break for it?" I was starting to yell. "I don't know, Kev. I am pretty calm about this, and i am letting you go through with the marriage. Speaking of which, did she say yes?" "Yes, and i could never be happier!" I smiled faintly, and sat on my bed. Jess sat up, too. "Hi, Mrs. Jonas" "Hey there, Jess. Are you alright?" "Yeah, i'm fine for now" "Mom, did dad mean it when he said that me and Jessica are leading him to thinking the marriage is not a good thing?" "I'm sure he didn't, but he didn't sound too convincing when i last talked to him." "Okay, and when we go home, he said drive to the bank. What was that all about?" "That was nothing, he did need to deposit money, and he had a check for his account." "Oh, okay." Well, we're tired. We had a lot of fun, so i'm gonna go to sleep. Night mom, Love you" "Love you too.
